The Victorian School Building Authority’s Relocatable Buildings Program
“Amazing”, the students declare…
Going by the glowing reports delivered by staff and students alike, it seems the recently completed relocatable classroom addition to Carlton Gardens Primary School is a resounding success.
This ground-breaking project saw BHAPM manage the manufacture and delivery of the first ever three-storey relocatable classroom buildings, in an impressively short time-frame. The Carlton Gardens Primary School building was one of four three-storey relocatables delivered to inner-city Melbourne schools by BHAPM this year.
The keen enthusiasm of the Carlton Gardens students’ responses to their new building is palpable as they praise the amenity of the spaces – the abundance of natural light, usable outdoor areas, and quiet nooks for concentrating on individual projects.
Principal Tina McDougal endorses her students’ evaluation, expressing relief in seeing such an invaluable solution to the school’s lack of space finally be devised. She has declared the completion of this project is a cause for celebration for the school.
